TELUS Consumer Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Clinical Consultant, with experience in clinical informatics and chronic disease management. You will work collaboratively with our internal teams and strategic clients to advise on the design and delivery of remote patient monitoring solutions. Your passion for leveraging technology to improve health outcomes, strategic thinking, and undeniable communication skills will be critical to your success in this position.
Location: Vancouver (Remote with potential for occasional on-site meetings)
Contract Duration: 1 Year
Compensation: $110/hr
Commitment:
- Initial first 1-3 months: 10 hours per week
- Ongoing: 3 - 10 hours per week
As a TELUS Home Health Monitoring Nurse Practitioner Clinical Consultant you will:
Provide Thought Leadership:
- Provide expert clinical insights to shape the development, deployment and use of remote patient monitoring solutions with a focus on improving health outcomes, and patient and clinical experiences
- Advise on chronic disease management protocols and integration with remote monitoring technologies
- Review and validate clinical content, processes, and data flows
- Support strategic initiatives to align the products and services with the provincial healthcare system priorities.
Drive Stakeholder Engagement:
- Establish credibility as a trusted advisor of internal and client teams through deep industry knowledge and clinical expertise
- Facilitate client workshops to create and/or improve clinical workflows
- Engage with government bodies and healthcare policymakers to advocate for the adoption and support of virtual care and remote patient monitoring solutions
What you need to apply:
- Current registration without restrictions as an Adult or Primary Care Nurse Practitioner in British Columbia
- Masters of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) degree or equivalent
Preferred:
- 5+ years of experience as a nurse practitioner in clinical practice, ideally in both community and hospital settings
- Strong understanding of chronic disease management and remote patient monitoring
- Experience working with remote patient monitoring programs, with a strong ability to inspire confidence and trust with patients, providers, and healthcare stakeholders
- Clinical Informatics degree or formal training a strong asset
- Demonstrated experience consulting and/or working on healthcare technology projects
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients, government bodies and internal teams
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate clinical knowledge into actionable insights for product development and solution design
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events
